Custom 3D-Printed Orthotics – Designed & Manufactured at Hook Podiatry Modern Technology. Personalised Support. Made In-House.
At Hook Podiatry in Monmouth, we combine clinical biomechanical assessment with modern 3D scanning and printing technology to create individually prescribed foot orthotics.
Unlike traditional methods that involve taking plaster casts and sending them to an external laboratory, your feet are digitally scanned and your orthotics are 3D-printed right here in our clinic.
This gives us direct control over the manufacturing process, allowing us to produce orthotics tailored to your foot shape, clinical needs and everyday activities.
Whether you're experiencing plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon pain, forefoot discomfort or problems associated with flat feet, our aim is to provide comfortable, effective support based on your individual requirements.

How Are Your Custom Orthotics Made?

Step 1 – Biomechanical Assessment & Gait Analysis
We begin by assessing your foot structure, joint mobility, muscle function and walking pattern.
Where appropriate, gait analysis helps us understand how your feet function during movement and identify mechanical factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Step 2 – Digital 3D Foot Scanning
Your feet are digitally scanned to capture their individual shape and contours.
This provides a detailed digital model that can be used to develop your personalised orthotic prescription without the need for traditional plaster casting.

Step 3 – Individually Designed Orthotics
Using your foot scan and the findings from your clinical assessment, your orthotics are designed to provide the appropriate combination of support, flexibility and pressure redistribution.
Specific modifications can be incorporated to address your symptoms and individual biomechanical requirements.
Step 4 – 3D-Printed in Our Monmouth Clinic
Your custom orthotics are manufactured using our own in-house 3D-printing technology.
Because the manufacturing process takes place within the clinic, we maintain direct control over production and can make design adjustments when required.

More Than Just an Insole
An effective orthotic is not simply a device shaped to fit your foot.
It requires an understanding of how your feet function, how forces act upon them and which structures may be contributing to your pain.
At Hook Podiatry, we combine over 25 years of clinical experience, detailed assessment and in-house manufacturing to provide orthotics that are prescribed for your individual needs.
